No Smoking Policy

Our Bed & Breakfast is committed to providing a completely fresh, clean and healthy environment for all guests.

Smoke-Free Property

Smoking, vaping and the use of cigarettes, cigars, pipes, e-cigarettes or any other tobacco or nicotine products is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property, including:

  • Guest bedrooms

  • Bathrooms

  • All indoor communal areas

  • Hallways

  • Entrances

  • Gardens

  • Grounds

  • Car park

  • Any outdoor areas within our property boundaries

This policy applies to every guest and visitor without exception.

Why We Have This Policy

Many guests choose our accommodation because it is entirely smoke free.

Tobacco smoke leaves persistent odours on clothing, luggage, hair and personal belongings. These odours can transfer to bedrooms, wardrobes, curtains, bedding, upholstery and carpets, making rooms unpleasant for subsequent guests. Removing these odours often requires extensive cleaning and can result in rooms being unavailable for incoming guests.

We therefore ask that guests who smoke and cannot refrain from smoking throughout their stay choose accommodation that better suits their needs.

Breach of Policy

If evidence of smoking or vaping is found, or if the bedroom, wardrobe, furnishings, bedding or any part of the accommodation carries a noticeable tobacco odour requiring additional cleaning or deodorising beyond our normal housekeeping procedures, the following charges will apply:

  • A deep cleaning charge of £200.

  • Any additional costs reasonably incurred as a result of the room being unavailable for the next guest.

Where a room cannot be returned to an acceptable standard before the arrival of the next guest due to smoke or tobacco odours, you agree that we may relocate the incoming guest to suitable alternative accommodation. You will be responsible for reimbursing us for the reasonable relocation costs together with the £200 deep-cleaning charge.

These charges represent the additional costs incurred and are not a penalty.

Agreement

By making a reservation and staying with us, you confirm that you have read and accepted this No Smoking Policy and agree to comply with it throughout your stay.
